We had so much fun last year, we are going to do it again!  The 2012 ride date has not been set.

2010/2011 Information: Mid State Riding Club and the fine folks at Three Stallion Inn are inviting you to come and experience their hospitality and the lovely trails here while you take part in the area's first  American Competitive Trail Horse Association (ACTHA) sanctioned Competitive Trail Challenge (CTC).  This is a casual competition perfect for all levels of riders!  If you trail ride...You can compete!

What is an ACTHA sactioned Competitive Trail Challenge?  Easy going six to ten mile rides with few obstacles mixed in to test your horsemanship skills.  The horse and rider who executes the obstacle the best gets the highest score and wins ACTHA bucks.  There are three divisions, Pleasure (not as complicated), Open (more complicated) and Junior (not as complicated) The Mid State Riding Club CTC six to seven mile ride takes place at Green Mountain Stock Farm, home of Three Stallion Inn, situated on 1300 acres of beautiful Vermont countryside in Randolph.  The ride will take you through lovely forest shaded trails and open 180 degree vistas.  Terrain is suitable for barefoot horses with minimal gravel roads.

Just to add to the fun, James Malcomb, a certified John Lyons Instructor is giving a free 2 hour demonstration Saturday afternoon after lunch. If you feel you need to work on your trail skills, James is giving a Trail Horse Makeover clinic Sunday. Contact Dee Kelly to register for the Trail Horse Makeover Clinic or to be part of the free 2 hour demo.  Stick around after the demo for some socializing and a finger lickin' southern BBQ.
